Welcome to chrispcauley.com. I am a multi-instrumentalist, soundman, gear lender, producer, friend, promoter, and songwriter working in the vigorous Patchogue music scene. I live in East Patchogue and have a modest recording studio in my home. I have the pleasure of hosting the best all original open mic on LI every Wednesday night at The Brickhouse Brewery (www.brickhousebrewery.com) on Main St. in Patchogue. I play in a few different bands and have played live shows from here to Philly for over a decade. As a solo artist, I write and record original songs playing all of the instruments. I use this site to keep people up to date with what I'm up to and to share my music. Thanks for coming by.

Playing Live???

I am always playing live shows. So let me bring you up to date with who I am playing with. I currently do an acoustic set every Wednesday night at the Brickhouse Brewery on Main St. in Patchogue. As the host of the show, I usually kick things off with a half- hour set of original tunes starting around 7:30. There is no cover for this event, so come on down. The bands that have been playing are creative, diverse, and highly original.

As a guitarist/vocalist, I work in a POWER TRIO called GOLIATH. Here I co-write songs with two montrous musicians in Drew Moss and Brian O'Neill. The band ROCKS and we are playing shows everywhere. We have a three song sampler out now!!! It can be had for free at www.goliathrocksny.com . Show listings and live cuts can be found on our myspace @ www.yspace.com/goliathny .

As a percussionist, I have been a member of LI's own KARMASUTRA for a number of great years. This band's music and legacy speak for itself. Over the last six- months some gig highlights have been playing The Great South Bay Music Festival, The Blue Point Brewery's FIRKIN' FRIDAY, and the Celebration of Life Concert hosted by Jack Licitra. This is an awesome and exciting original band featuring Craig, Jesse and Noah Pagano, Mark Rios and Scott Groepper. For more information, tunes and show dates go to  www.myspace.com/karmasutraredux.

As a drummer, I am now filling in and playing gigs with Jay Scott and Grand Case Scenario. I was also a founding member of MY LAST BAND. The band has recently reformed with a new drummer. Recordings and info can still be found @ www.myspace.com/mylastband.

As a live sound engineer, I have recently worked with Camera Head Shark, The Forensics, and was the engineer for the Paradiddle Records 2008 HOLIDAY HULLABALOO. I have pro gear and reasonable rates. I can service venues that hold up to 300 people. Contact my myspace with inquiries. www.myspace.com/chrispcauley

Recording?????

Chris P Cauley/ Solo

For the last year, I have been working on my first full length CD. I released Chris P Cauley 10 Songs on June 14th 2009. The majority of the music was recorded and mixed in my home and I played all the instruments. I have to thank Bill Herman for his help with some of the tracks. Although recorded in Pro Tools, I always choose to forgo editing for more organic tracks. There are missteps. I embrace them.

Goliath

This summer, I had the the monumental experience of working on Goliath's first EP at Sonic Youth's recording facility in Hoboken NJ. We are working with producer/engineer Chris Gefken and are pumped to put out Goliath's first EP (also June 2009). Goliath worked with Chris on its sampler which is availble now at Goliath's website.

Jay Scott and Grand Case Scenario

On the production side, I have been recording new material with the singer/songwriter Jay Scott. I am also pleased to report that I am filling in for a bunch of Jay Scott gigs as a drummer this summer.

What the F@#$% is THE REVEREND MOFO???

Hard to explain the ways of this experimental music project I started with Drew Moss in 2003. Dan Bolze completes the circle of madness and exploration. We have also jammed and recorded with a wide variety of experimental musicians including Corey Larkin  and Erik Rabasca. A live highlight for the MOFO was playing the 2007 Electro MUSIC Festival in Philadelphia. Headphones??? go to  www.reverendmofo.com .
